When it comes to getting the inside scoop for everything Banks Journal, who better to speak to than the team themselves? Last up but certainly not least, is our Design Director with impeccable style and a friendly swagger, Jacob McCabe. Although Jacob's first collection will not debut until the Fall, we wanted to introduce the talented man before our new collection launches.
What about the collection this season excites you the most?
The Happy Place Boardshort print. I’m a big fan of Ty William’s artwork.
Would you say your style is more classic and neutral or bold and expressive?
Classic and neutral. I lean towards neutral tones. Black is always reliable.
Spring/summer or fall/winter to dress your best?
Fall-winter because I can put on the outerwear pieces. However, as a designer, Spring and Summer are always fun to design for as there is usually more injection of color and textile or print stories to build a collection around.
All-time favorite banks Journal Piece?
The Federal pants. It’s my go-to everyday pant.
Favorite shoe brand to give your Banks Journal outfit some kicks?
Air Force Ones or Chuck 70's.
What do you enjoy most about working at Banks Journal?
A great group of co-workers and easy to collaborate with. A plus is the HQ location is across from the beach.
