KAHANA KALAMA VOLUME 1

Filmed on location in Hawaii and California by Banks Journal friend Evan Schell, this short surf film is a tasteful dive into Comrade Kahana Kalama's favorite surf spots and features his clean, performance driven style.

For the premiere of the film we headed down to the Aloha Beach Club flagship store in North Park, San Diego to debut it in front of a packed house of fellow frothers of all ages. Our resident DJ Brindles filled the shop with dusty vinyl grooves and drinks were provided by Guayaki Yerba Mate & Coronado Brewing. After the film premiere we headed across the street to the dark, whiskey drenched hallways of Seven Grand where LA's Spindrift played a live set of psychedelic western tunes for the after party.
