Ginger Juice Without a Juicer

Ginger is one of my favorite roots. I love how it tastes, I love it’s anti-inflammatory properties and if I ever get a cold, I go straight to the ginger and lemon tea. One of the most potent ways to consume this root is by juicing it but unfortunately those cold pressed juicers which do the best job are pretty pricey. Fortunately a mate of mine sent me over a video a few weeks ago showing how to make a solid amount of ginger juice that you can consume over the course of a week, using nothing more than a blender and a strainer. Here’s how you do it:

1. Grab a blender

Take a palm sized piece of ginger and put it in a blender with half a cup of water.

2. Pulse it

Pulse it until it’s all mixed up and juicy.

3. Grab a mason jar

Grab a mason jar and pour the contents through a strainer, pressing all the juice out with a spoon.

4. Make ginger tea

Take the left over ginger pulp and use it to boil yourself up some tea.

5. Put a cap on it

Cap the mason jar and there you'll have a nice jar of ginger juice which will last you the whole week!
