We're excited to present Nadia Hernanández as this season's Banks Journal Studio artist. Based in Sydney, Australia by way of Mérida, Venezuela, her practice continues to orbit and explore folklore using collage, craft, design, and text to reflect on the intersecting ideologies of social and political change.
She is driven by the philosophy that art has the ability to communicate an uncensored message and play an important role in social movements.
We couldn't be more stoked to have a curated collection from Nadia featuring some of her works. From hats to wovens, boardshorts to knits and tees, we have a feeling you'll find a limited piece that suits you.
